Biography

The Galaxy Big Band Jazz Orchestra was established in 1992 by Japanese, as an amateur Jazz band in Jakarta. There are current members of around 15, and most of us are Japanese expats in Jakarta(off course we have Indonesian member too).

We work on weekdays and practice together during weekends for passion and refreshment.

We play various kinds of big band tunes, especially traditional swing numbers such as Count Basie, Duke Ellington Orchestra's or Latin numbers.
