Biography

Andien is one of Indonesia's multifaceted musicians with a diverse range of genres. She has been active in the music industry for 23 years, producing 7 albums. Her songs have frequently topped the charts, earning her numerous awards both domestically and internationally, including 10 AMI Awards, notably in the Best Female Singer category. Andien's most recent accolade was the Best Song & Best Music Video awards at the 2022 New York International Film Awards for her virtual concert "Melodi Monolog Andien 22 Tahun Berkarya," titled "Dan Lalu." Beyond her music career, Andien, a graduate of the University of Indonesia's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, majoring in Communication, has a strong commitment to social and environmental issues. She is renowned for her philanthropic efforts, directly assisting natural disaster victims, cancer patients, individuals with disabilities, and elderly residents of social care facilities. Her dedication to environmental causes is apparent through several initiatives she's been involved in. Since 2018, Andien has founded a foundation called Setali Indonesia, focusing on fashion sustainability issues. She also serves on the Board of Advisory for Rekosistem, a waste management company. In the realm of social issues, she co-founded Sekolah Anak Percaya in 2002 with Nara Kreatif, which provides free education to residents of marginalized communities. Sekolah Anak Percaya currently operates in two areas in Jakarta. In addition to her many endeavors, Andien enjoys sharing her interests on social media. She frequently shares her love for Indonesian textiles and her holistic approach to healthy living. Andien is also concerned about mental health issues, which led her to complete her studies at the Indonesian Academy of Psychotherapy, Counseling, & Coaching in 2020.
